2006 Nissan Armada SE 5.6L 8Cyl Owner reached out on Yelp to get an engine swap on his Armada since the current one was blown💥The crankshaft gave out from overrevving and oil starvation. This caused the connecting rod to shoot straight through the #2 lower oil pan leaving a hole and a rod hanging from the front differential. He had the car towed in and a new engine shipped to the shop. This straight forward engine swap turned into a bigger project. The Armada was lifted and the extra suspension cross member made it harder to get around. In addition, rounded bolts and welded pieces made it harder to disconnect the engine from the car. Once removing the engine with the cherry picker🍒, it was a lot easier to install the new one. The new engine had a few hardware issues that delayed the process by a few hours but they were manageable. We also replaced the spark plugs and replaced the exhaust manifold gaskets to prevent any leaks. Once installed, we added new oil, engine coolant and power steering fluid. The vehicle had been sitting for a long time and needed a new battery so we went ahead and added a new duralast pro power plus battery🔋. We cranked up the Armada and it ran beautifully. 2007 Dodge Charger R/T 5.7L 8Cyl Gas Owner came in because his car was overheating. Found out the fan wasn't working properly due to some electrical problem (bad relay, damaged wires, etc). He had a leak in the engine timing cover gasket, which made the problem worse, but we hadn't found it yet. The cooling system had so many pockets of air, and we put it under vaccum to take them out. We then added new coolant and applied pressure to the system to locate the leak, and one of the hoses wasn't held on tightly enough, which caused it to pop out and surprise us 💦. The car had 190k miles with codes popping up left and right. It needed a lot of work done that the owner decided not to fix the problem and start looking for a new car instead. 2003 Lexus GX470 Base 4.7L 8cyl 2UZ-FE Owner came in to remove & replace the timing Belt and water pump. Upon inspection we found oil leaks. The oil drain plug was loose and there were holes in the power steering return line hose. The drive belt was also due for a change. Next day pickup.
